Jamie Foxx is one of several stars who is offering up his support to help raise awareness for homeless gay youth in Los Angeles.
The Oscar winner is featured in a chilling Public Service Announcement that comes across as a short film telling the story of a young man who’s parents reject him after they learn he’s gay, and kick him out of the house. The boy ends up on the streets, is brutally raped and enters a dark road of drugs and prostitution to earn money.
He considers suicide, stands on a ledge and gets ready to jump.
“In most parts of the country, life is still enormously difficult for kids who are even perceived to be gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered,” Jamie said in the PSA.
Other stars featured in the clip are Elton John, Lisa Ling and reality star Lisa Vanderpump.
